One question we are asked regularly about membership in CEA is: "What do I get out of it?" We think that membership in CEA, the premier association for those in the children's entertainment industry, is benefit enough, but if you need more of an incentive, these are just some of the other goodies you get as a member in CEA:

• KidBiz E-mail Edition: KidBiz is the most widely circulated publication targeted to the kids' entertainment business. Members, and only members, can include information on new releases, up-coming projects and other news. This information is read by important players in children's entertainment all over the world.

• Nuts &Bolts Gatherings: Held several times in a year in various regions across the country, CEA's Nuts &bolts Gatherings are informal meetings at which industry leaders help guide the discussion on topics of interest to our members and our industry. THe nex N&B will be held in NYC on the evening of Thursday June 8, during the Licensing Show:. The topic will be "The Changing Landscape of Children's Television." Click here: for more information.

• Conferences and Trade Shows: CEA is the only trade association serving our industry that regularly has a presence at shows such as Toy Fair, Licensing Show, Fun Expo and other important industry events. Members have the opportunity to attend the event and work the booth and/or to exhibit their products. It is a great chance to meet potential partners and to get your name out.

• The CEA Radio Directory: Compiled by PJ Swift, this is the most comprehensive and up to date directory of children's radio available anywhere. The directory is also available on-line at PJ's site

• Member Directory: A comprehensive listing of all CEA members, including names, addresses, phone, fax and e-mail. The directory also identifies members areas of activity, serving as a ready guide when someone is looking to hire. We also have the On-Line Member Directory, listing our members' web sites.

• Group Health Insurance: Through CEA's insurance broker, Custom Benefits Corp., CEA members have access to group health insurance at reasonable rates.

• Alamo Car Rentals: CEA members are entitled to special discount rates at Alamo rental Car, with locations all across the country.

These are in addition to the many opportunities to meet and talk with others in the industry, the parties and gatherings, and the opportunity to influence the industry that CEA allows. What do you get out of membership? A lot.
